Golden Flaxseed

Hello:)

Feeling and looking healthy is conducive to our well-being. In this crazy fast world, we should stop once in a while and just focus on ourselves. Taking care of ourselves promotes health and health is the most important!

A lot of my friends are asking what's my secret for shiny and soft hair. In this post I'd like to present my ways of hair care.

My Must-Do's :

  • I rinse my hair with warm or cold water - never hot!
  • After shampooing I always use a mask. I used to use a hair conditioner after every shampooing and a mask only once a week or so, but when I saw that the mask is giving a way better result I totally gave up on hair conditioners and since then I'm using only hair masks.
  • I put an argan oil for hair ends.
  • I brush my hair with Tangle Teezer Hairbrush.
  • And now here's my secret - I alternately use a golden flaxseed decoction and coconut oil as often as I can.

Today I'll show you how to make a golden flax seed decoction, which I've been using for years. I fell in love with it right after the first use. Immediate effect after only one usage convinced me, that it will be my favorite homemade hair product!

Note: Flaxseeds come in two basic varieties: brown and golden. I only use golden flaxseed to make a decoction. The brown one did not bring the desired effect.

What are the benefits of using flaxseed for hair?

  • Prevents Hair Breakage
  • Reduces Dandruff
  • Strengthens hair
  • Promotes hair growth
  • Provides shine and softness
  • Moisturizes

Are you convinced? So give your hair some love!

How to make a Golden Flax Seed Decoction on the stove:

You're gonna need:
  • 2 teaspoons of golden flax seeds
  • 2 cups of water
  • a pan
  • a strainer

1.Combine water and the flaxseeds into a pan over high heat, stirring occasionally

2. Stir gently and constantly when the mixture starts to boil. Reduce the heat to medium when the mixture's consistency turns into a thin, foamy jelly.

3. When the seeds remain suspended in the jelly, turn off the heat and drain the mixture through the strainer into the bowl.
My first tip: try to drain the mixture in a way that the seeds remain in the pan, otherwise the seeds will clog the strainer and the mixture won't come through
My second tip: Rinse the pot and the strainer immediately, as cleaning it later will be difficult.

4. Let it cool down and you can apply it on your washed hair and scalp.
Yes, you apply this mask as the final touch of a hair care routine. The flaxseeds mask doesn't oily your hair and it's unscented. After about 40 min of keeping it on the head just rinse thoroughly and Voila!

First effects are visible immediately! But the regular usage provides permanent protection.
